I’ve decided not to upgrade [to Leopard] until I’m either forced or there are apps I want that require Leopard. I just don’t see any legitimate reason to pay almost $150 for an upgrade that adds tons of eye candy. Seriously, Apple is touting 6 major features on the Leopard website: new Desktop, redesigned Finder (with Coverflow), Quicklook, Time Machine, Spaces, and updated iChat. Of those 6, I see two that could be perceived as productive, and one of those two is so full of eye candy that it’s going to be a pain to work with. So for me, this is a no go. Apple needs to get back to making well designed PRODUCTIVE software, not needless eye candy with lots of gloss and shiny aluminum.
